Been very very busy with all my assignments but here some work from a while ago, character designs...

Rough idea sketches and silhouettes....

The other guy - Mafumu

This was concept work for a film about a fat mechanic and a cannibal who lived in a swamp... Worked on it for a while before deciding to completely change direction!

Camels camels camels...

 After the camel sketching in the zoo I designed a camel character...

I enjoyed making the camel out of letters and the robot camel, was more of an illustration thing and didn't help me much with the finished character design though... I was stuck choosing between the bottom two of the black and white sheet but decided to go with the one on the left.

I did a quick rough animation of the character in Flash to see how it would move...

A Day in the Zoo

Went to London Zoo last week.  It's a bit disappointing compared to Dublin Zoo, they dont even have elephants! Anyway, I decided to sketch camels.  They are so cool. 

They went to sleep for a while. The guy that put his head down looked so happy and cozy. 

He reminds me a bit of a Dr Suess character.

   

Loved watching them eat...when they chew they do an amazing exaggerated figure 8 with their jaw, their mouth is wide open, and they look so dopey, its hilarious.

Camels walk pretty weirdly actually, not like most quadrupeds, they move both left legs at the same time, and both right legs at the same time. Weird. Heres an amazing clip if you want to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gh29dV-glI

Was pretty annoying making collages, I hate cutting out things. The painting was fun though.

One hue with balanced tints and shades

A snow layout needs some falling snow...

Dammit that page mark towards the end is a bit distracting though!

Messing around on After Effects...

First time I've used it, thought id try out some camera moves on a layout I made in BCFE... Oh I changed the colour too, fits in with the Antique Shop theme now...
